Craftsman 16-Inch Reel Mower

I've got a Craftsman Reel mower. It's a 16" push mower. We have just bought a mobile home and don't have much grass so the Reel mower is great for our little yard. We purchased this Reel mower at sears in the store and paid about $100 bucks for it. We've had it about 2 months and have used it several times.

It is a perfect size to store in our little shed and light enough for even me to lift on my own. I would assume that you wouldn't use a Reel mower on a big yard as it would take a long time to do so, even though it gets the job done right. But as I said it works perfectly for our small mobile home yard. So at an affordable rate and light weight it is perfect for even a house wife or a single mother who doesn't have a man to help her out with yard work. I love my Craftsman mower.

Reel Mower Is Better For Me Than Electric
by: Jennifer Ellis

I am a single woman, and you would think an electric lawn mower would be perfect for me. You would be right, they are easy to push and also good for almost every kind of mowing. However, after spending a lot of money two years in a row, I opted to buy a manual reel mower, because my other two were stolen and I thought I would have better luck with a manual.

I was right, but not in the manner I thought, the manual reel mower was so much better for me. It was lighter, less trouble, no electric cords and no oil cans. Just roll it out to the side walk and the grass was finished in no time.

I bought it at Sears and it was a Craftsman 16" Reel Mower. I live in Chicago, Illinois and people are very crabby if you don't keep your mowing up. I really think the mower works better, when the grass is kept mowed and is not to long.

I have a vacant lot next to me and the neighbors and I try to keep it looking nice. My mower although I love it is not as good for this job.I bought the mower at the store and I must admit I like it better than any one I have had.

It is also some what hard to push over the curb, but even though it has a few things that are kind of hard for me, I would rather have a manual than any other kind.

In the long run it is much cheaper to have, at the beginning of the summer I have the blades sharpened for $35.00 and that is the only expense there is with this kind of mower. People say I'm crazy, but this is the right one for me. I have had this mower for one and a half years, and I expect it to last me a really long time.
