We have a Craftsman 21" Pushmower with a Briggs and Stratton engine. My husband does lawn care on the weeekends and purchased this gas powered mower from Sears in Jonesboro,Arkansas as a back up last summer. We live in Kennett, MO but our local Sears is small and hours are limited so we took the drive and it was well worth it.
The assembly was very easy literally only taking minutes and came with basically everything needed for the mower except gas. The mower is easy to start and push and I have found myself using it at home. Even if the grass was a little high it still only needed one pass and went through with ease.
The deck height has six different adjustments which is good considering the diferences in our height...me being 5'2 and him coming in just at 6'. The mower has a side discharge - while he would have preferred to have a mower with an optional bag attachement to catch discharge our funds were limited so we chose the cheaper route. However, the mulcher was an added benefit that he liked alot.
Overall the Craftsman performance has been very good and with a price tag of only $129.99 it simply cannot be beat. It has begun to have some problems until it is warmed up but it has had more than it's fair share of use. It has a full two year warranty which we still have a year left on.
The blades, plugs, wheels and other replacement parts you may need are reasonably priced. Ourselves, we have not had to do anything other than normal maintenance on the mower. I would highly recommend this mower to not only the budget savy but those looking for a good quality product as well. We hope to have years of continued use and enjoyment from our Craftsman.
