I own a Craftsman 22" Self-Propelled Mower, Model 37066. I purchased the mower offline in a local Sears store in 2009. I have used the mower for 3 seasons so far. I reside in Pelham, Georgia. I enjoy using the mower overall, the cut of the blade is even if properly set beforehand, and the handle doesn't tire me out after an hour or so of cutting.
There are some negatives with the mower, though. The height adjustment is a bit cumbersome, as you have to manually adjust each wheel using a flimsy metal adjustment bar, so on un-level ground getting the right cut takes a little while to achieve.
The bag feature is great for smaller yards; anything under a one-quarter acre lot is ideal. I have a half-acre lot, so I find myself unloading the bag many times, which becomes frustrating after about 10 loads of yard trimmings.
While this leaves my yard looking spectacular, the mower would be better if it included a larger bag. The mower works great for cleaning out brush, if the supplied side discharge attachment is equipped. With the side discharge the mower works well on larger lots, as the blades cut clippings of almost mulch-like thickness when on average grass heights.
The engine starts on the second or third pull, even after storing for the winter, after checking oil and fresh gas is put in. The gas tank is sufficient, and one can expect a good two hours of continuous mowing from one tank. I do not like the fact that I can't manually adjust the throttle on the mower, as sometimes I do not need full power to mow parts of my lawn.
Overall, the mower is a great buy for someone just starting out with a small garden or yard, and the price is okay even with the mower's shortcomings.
