Craftsman 46inch Lawn Tractor - Model 13AL78ST099

Our brand new shiny black lawn mower that only came out in January 2011 is the Craftsman 21hp 46" Automatic Lawn Tractor. We recently acquired this riding lawn mower from a friend of ours who was moving and didn't have room to take it with him. His loss!

We received it about a week ago and we used it at the first sign of grass and it took me about ten to fifteen minutes to do our whole lawn. I'd say this lawn tractor is good for any sized lawn you may have. But perhaps a very small lawn wouldn't be best if you can easily mow your lawn with a push lawn mower. It's a great lawn mower for your every day grass cutting.

Unlike our previous John Deere riding lawn mower this one is easier to operate and when you turn it on it is much faster. This machine is great on any type of lawn you have. We have a lawn that is usually wet and covered in mud and no matter what, this tractor gets the job done with ease. It also has an automatic adjustable seat which is really easy to adjust whether I do the mowing or my Dad does it.

The only bad thing that I think about this lawn mower is that it is slightly bigger than our previous one and I have not begun to fully get the handle of it as it is different from the John Deere ones I've had in the past. It also doesn't fit in our storage shed as it's too big. But other than that, I love the mower.

Craftsman Are Reliable And Cut Well

I own a Craftsman Riding Lawn Tractor. I live in Everett, Washington and used the lawn tractor in Orting, Washington for about two years. I loved the lawn mower, and would still have it if we had not moved to an apartment with no yard. I hope I can find another one for sale when that time comes.

It had really simple functions; ignition, brake, gas pedal, gear stick, and lever for lifting/lowering the blades. The lawn mower had very many good points about it. It rode very well; smoothly and handled little hills well. It cut the grass well and made short work of a two acre lawn that we had at the time.

The Craftsman lawn tractor had a hard time cutting longer grass because the mower deck would not raise high enough to cut it, so I had to go over the same grass twice instead of just one time.

All in all, this was a great machine and it never let me down. The only problem we had was finding some little parts for it. They still make the parts, however they were hard to find. Make sure you know the part number or serial number that you need (and see if you can order the part to make sure you definitely get the part), otherwise you will be looking for a long time.

The lawn mower has no bag, but that was fine for our needs. It also made a lot of noise, so I had to wear ear protectors while riding it. This lawn mower ran well. Craftsman is very good about making their machines timeless, and I would definitely promote this product to my friends and family. Great Product!
