The Craftsman 550 series lawn mower was bought offline at a local Sears. I believe the lawn mower is best suited for a small or medium sized yard. The reason why I say this is because it is a manual push lawnmower and if you need to mow over an acre it could take a lot of effort, and time especially if it is hilly.
We bought this mower about two years ago, we keep up with the maintenance, but when it comes to storing it in the winter I must say we lack. It was stored in the elements for two years, and once we put fresh gas, and clean the filter the lawn mower starts right up, one pull for me. So, I would say it is very durable.
The one thing I dislike about this mower is that it doesn't have self propulsion. My front yard has a fairly steep hill, and it is hard to do this. My backyard has a lot less steep of a hill, and it works good there, I have no problems with pushing up a shallow hill. I tend to take about 30-45min to do the front and backyard, and I do them once every other week or so in the summer.
In the winter I do not need to cut my grass as we get snow here. I wish my parents would have bought the one that comes with the grass bag, but they decided not to.
The power of this Craftsman mower is great for my yard, I can push right though our thickest of grass with ease, none of that push and pull, and no having to go over the same spot multiple times. This push mower works best on flat to slightly hilly land.
