The Craftsman Highwheel side discharge mower (11A-B05E099) has been very reliable since I bought it five years ago. I live in Mantua, NJ and have to mow my lawn, typically, from late March to early or middle of October. For those eight months out of the year for the past five mowing seasons the Craftsman mower has held up pretty well.
It's easy to start, operates smoothly and is comfortable to handle. I've also done grounds keeping for a golf course and have used other types and models of mowers for various tasks and projects and out of that experience I find I prefer the Craftsman mower.
It takes me about forty five minutes to an hour to mow 3/4 of an acre property. My yard also has a bit of an incline and some hard to reach areas. This mower gets into those hard to reach areas as well and is lightweight enough to do the job comfortably. I have had a couple of mowers before that, but they didn't hold up as well.
I actually got my mower on sale in a store at the end of the season after my existing mower died on me. This mower is also easy to clean, maintain, and tune up. The engine is also relatively quiet and smooth running as compared to other mowers I've used. This particular mower, I found, being a push mower, is best for small gardens.
Like most push mowers, this is also easy to store when not in use. I would suggest it for anyone who needs something lightweight yet sturdy. I would also recommend this Craftsman mower to anyone who needs a light duty, push mower for a small yard.
