We bought the Cub Cadet GT2544 garden tractor about a year ago from Lowe's, as a step up from a smaller Cub Cadet model. Our yard is just under an acre in size, so we needed something a little more powerful to be able to complete the job easily, which it accomplishes.
I use it on its fastest setting, and it still mows very cleanly. It is an upgrade from smaller models in every way, aside from its turning angle (the smaller models could make a 360 1 point turn) which is still tight enough to wrap around trees with a base of two feet or more.
Occasionally the steering wheel can become difficult to turn, but this can be avoided by keeping your mower clean, and giving it a good cleaning when it gets tough. For the most part cleaning is east enough, as there are build in attachments to hook your garden hose into and run the blade to clear out the majority of waste after use. The blade also does a good job of cutting all the way to the outer edge of the wheel, which is nice when cutting near walls or hedges, etc.
