I currently own a Honda HR214 lawnmower that was purchased back in mid '80's. I was driving down the road and had passed a local Honda motorcycle dealer and noticed a few out front. It caught my eye because they never had them before and it seemed odd but I was planning on buying a new one anyways within the next month or so due to my Sears mower dying on me.
Even back then these mowers were extremely expensive. I believe I spent roughly $300-$400 at the time. My Dad had told me a trick to keeping a mower looking new and running good by cleaning it after use and spraying WD-40 on it and wiping it down , giving it a fresh glossy look.
I have been living in mobile homes and never really had a huge lawn, but this mower has done everything I have asked it to perform.
During the last 20+ odd years I have only had to change the oil and buy 1 new spark plug for it. This machine still runs like a top and looks great and still stats on one pull. I will never need another mower as far as I can tell. One of the best investments I have made.
