Honda HRR216K5VXA

I purchased my Honda HRR216K5VXA Lawn Mower at Home Depot. For the most part its a great mower, and is still in use. I like this lawnmower because it does an awesome job with mulching.

It's easy to start, maneuver, and bags fine. One complaint is that the clippings tend to gather near the front of the bag, and its hard to keep a steady speed on a larger stretch of lawn.

The Honda HRR216K5VXA seems to be more equipped for a smaller garden, than my big lawn. The Smart Drive system works fine, but it's hard on my wrist and hands. Also, as far as the mulching plug, it has a hard time fitting the mower.

Grass seems to fill up the area behind the plug, and leaves a trail after the mower. So, that leaves me with clippings to pick up after mowing the lawn. A solution to that slight problem would be great.

The air filter on the Honda HRR216K5VXA works well, and fits fine, but the bag seems to allow some dust to escape. All in all a quality mower, with a few minor issues.

I have a Honda HRR2163TDA - the first 2 years it worked great started on first pull, no problem. Now I'm having a problem with the bagger dropping shredded leaves where I have just mowed. I want my lawn to be 'putting green' clean.

I contacted Honda thinking they might have a solution only to be given the 'so what' attitude. I asked the careless fool on the other end if I was the only one having this problem. He assured me I was.

I told him I've owned John Deere's before and would go back rather than put up with customer service people like him and a bagger design that stinks.

Maybe India CUSTOMER SERVICE ain't so bad. Anyways I'm glad I got to vent between picking up shredded leaves.

I'm glad you left this comment about Honda lawn mowers and particularly the model you have. Also I'm glad you pointed out the poor customer service that you experienced on this occasion.

The more people that leave comments about their experiences with Honda and how they find using their own Honda mowers, the better quality information potential buyers will find when they read these reviews.

P.s These comments are no reflection on the Honda HRR216K5VXA lawn mower, just the poor customer service received by visitor, Chief51, about his mower.

This Honda Mower Is Junk

I have owned this mower since right off the Honda Dealer floor. Worst thing I have ever bought. I have replaced the carb (3) THREE times in the past 3 years, the last was 3 weeks ago. I have cut the grass 2 times AND NOW we are replacing #(4) FOUR carb. 4 x $ 35 = $140.00 + my time to go get and then replace???

I was always told these were good mowers but of course the dealer blames it on everything else, poor gas, dust. Dust really??? Me on the other hand think really inferior parts. I will fix this one more time and sell it as fast as I can.

This was my first and last, NEVER to buy a Honda again. See my view is not only is the mower made of cheep parts but the service from the Honda dealer really (x30) is very poor. I want a mower I can depend on and this is not it. So if you want a mower to work, don't get a Honda!!!! Briggs and Stratton here I come.
