John Deere L110 Riding Lawn Mower

I currently have a John Deere L110 riding lawn mower. I bought it at the Lowe's in Springfield, Tennessee and I currently reside in Westmoreland. I used a push mower for many many years, and I finally got sick of it and I also came up with enough money for a riding lawn mower, so I wanted the best.

I am so completely satisfied with this lawn mower, I will continue to get John Deere branded mowers when I need to get a new lawn mower because this one has yet to let me down. I have a lot of land, so when I'm cutting my yard and the field behind it, this lawn mower gives me no trouble what so ever, and for that I am grateful.

I have yet to have a time where it did not work, and I hope to never have that problem, either. I bought this mower about a year and a half ago and have given it a LOT of use, because I do own such a big amount of land. Small gardens probably would not work out so well while using one of these, but there is a chance you could use it on one.

I would prefer to use it on a big garden and use a push mower for the smaller ones. I am going to hire a crew of workers to help me with my land, and in a way I would like to try out some other lawn mowers but if I had to choose, I would just stick with this brand because it never gives me problems, and I do see why John Deere is so popular. I would like to get the most life that I can out of this lawn mower, I will just have to see!

Doesn't Corner Very Well
by: Leonard Hall

My John Deere L110 riding lawn mower was purchased from Home Depot approximately 4 years ago. This lawn mower is best for properties around 1 acre, give or take 1/4 acre. Certainly a step up from a push mower, this ride on is very comfortable and easy to use.

However, a few words of caution... like all ride on tractor mowers, it doesn't corner that well. Another area in which this mower lacks ability is its reverse feature. You have to press a button on the dash in conjunction with hitting the reverse pedal, which is inconvenient.

Another area for improvement would be the seat. The back to the seat is quite low and doesn't fully support your back. In regards to the good points of this mower, the gas consumption is quite good. I can get about 3 mows on a 1.2 acre property before refueling.

It also cuts evenly and makes the lawn look quite sharp. The 8 different cut variations are also a huge plus in choosing your desired cut length. The safety feature on the lawn mower is also a plus for families with kids. The mower cannot be started without the foot depressed on the clutch and also will automatically turn off if you are not seated on the mower.

The speed on the mower is also appropriate... not too fast, but not too slow. The reliability of the engine is also very above average. I have experienced no problems in my 4-5 years of ownership.

Maintenance is also a breeze. Other than the annual oil and filter changes, I have just had to change the blades once. So it's safe to say the cost of ownership is very low for this mower and that I am very pleased with my purchase.
