John Deere LA105

I have had the John Deere LA105 for about a year and a half now and I got it at Lowe's. It is a great mower for the money and is a breeze to use. Unlike my previous push mower, the John Deere starts up on the first try without having to prime 3 or 4 times.

It has saved me countless hours in the sun and my back yard is one of the best on the street. The only downside to the John Deere LA105 compared to my old mower is that the Deere cannot navigate tight spaces nearly as well as I would like.

Thus, I end up using a weed whacker to take care of enclosed corners and the like. If you have a small yard, stick with a push mower as you really don't need the larger ridable ones.

The only problem I've had with it since I bought it was a leak in the gas tank. Lowe's, however, promptly fixed it as I had purchased their extended warranty. Overall, the John Deere LA105 is a great mower and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is on a budget but does not want to skimp out on their lawn.

Piece Of Junk

I bought the LA105 3 yrs ago from a local JD dealer and it's now dead. I have 1/3 acre, residential with slopes.

Started with oil leaking and smoking engine, then loss of power, then engine seized. It's out of warranty and so far I am not getting any satisfaction from the local.

They checked with the district JD rep and they won't offer anything. This mower did a great job the first year. It only had 55 hrs when it died. I am disappointed with Deere, thought I was buying a quality product.

Will Never Buy Another John Deere

I live in Butler, Pa and the John Deere LA105 is nothing more than a junk throw away. Will never buy another John Deere mower. Matter of fact I will not buy green ever again. Under 70 hrs and not worth having. John Deere don't care because they have my money. Short of a refund it's a rip-off!

I bought a John Deere LA105 because I was told it was all I needed to do what I wanted. I mow 1 acher of grass and I like to sweep when I'm done. I have almost 70 hours on it and I already have it in the shop. My ground has a slight slope to it with no real hills. The sales person didn't take into consideration that I am around 350lbs. I have a Murray that is 9 years old and is 3 times the lawn tractor. Sad but true. Maple Mountain needs to do better than they do and John Deere needs to see to it. It seems that all they care about is getting your money. Less than 70 hrs and can't keep up with a MTD. Save your money buy grey or red or blue, don't pay for the name. I will never buy green again.
