In March 2011, we recently purchased a John Deere LA155 Lawn Tractor, 100 series riding mower with a 48" deck and 22 horse power v-twin engine from our local Lowes hardware store. We are from Columbus, Ohio and since mowing season is just beginning we were in the market for a brand new riding lawn mower.
Although this is the second riding mower we have owned, it is our very first experience with the John Deere brand. We currently mow 1 acre of land and previously had a Scotts riding lawn mower.
The power in this lawn mower is really amazing, and with the 48" cutting span, we finish mowing much faster than with our previous 42 inch mower. The gas tank is very large at 4 gallons which means we don't have to stop mowing frequently to fill up the gas tank.
This mower has tons of gadgets to make the mowing process as easy as possible. Some of the "gadgets" are a service reminder, hour meter (hours the riding mower has been in use), and attachment engagement switch for the mower blades. This product produces a fresh cut lawn appearance that is extremely nice and professional looking.
So far we are very extremely thrilled with our purchase of the John Deere brand and don’t anticipate any immediate issues or downside to this purchase...Well, there is one downside – now, each time the lawn needs to be cut, we all fight over who gets to mow!
