If your yard is a little more challenging, Briggs & Stratton 550 can handle the job. The Poulan 550 series is equipped with a mulching side discharge and a hearty 22" cutting path. Available with 12" rear wheels instead of 7", this is a powerful machine compared to the Poulan 450.
The Poulan lawn tractors also contain the Briggs & Stratton engine at 16.5 or 18.5 hp. A 6-speed gear transmission glides smoothly with 6" and 8.5" tires that support these models well.
These riding mowers are designed for large acreage where time is cut immensely with the 42" cutting blade force.
Model PBGT26H54 in the Poulan Pro line of lawn tractors has been rated best in its class by Consumer Guide and is a great machine for going through tall grass or over light terrains.
A whopping 54" deck makes a world of difference when trying to get a job done in a large area. The 26 hp Briggs & Stratton engine purrs as you find this model outstanding and the grass cut can be adjusted from 1.5 to 4 inches.
The four-gallon gas tank will keep you from stopping for gas and as with all Poulan lawn mowers, you just can't beat the price.
