Poulan Pro PR625Y22RKPX Mower With Electric Start
I bought this Poulan Pro 22" Self Propelled Lawn MowerWalk-Behind Rotary Mowers)
approximately two years ago to mow my yard, which is a medium-sized yard. It was purchased from True Value Hardware locally. It was an excellent mower for my medium-sized yard for about the first year. The large wheels made it easier to push and navigate around obstacles that I would find in the yard like tree roots, holes, and unseen debris in the grass.
It would cut close and evenly, and it was wider than my old mower so it didn’t take nearly as much time to get the mowing done. I was extremely pleased, until I began having difficulties with it after approximately the first year of use.
First the blower cover fell off, which left me unprotected from glass clippings and flying debris. More than once I was hit with various items that were thrown up at me from the yard, from small twigs to rocks. It was impossible to secure the cover back into place, but I continued to use the mower for lack of any other option.
However, the problems got worse from there. Eventually the mower began to smoke when it was first started and began using much more oil than it originally required. I ignored this, figuring that over time anything, from a mower to a car, would begin to use more oil than originally required.
The worst part of it, however, came about only a couple of weeks ago. I was mowing when suddenly the muffler cracked and fell completely off the mower. I had to discontinue mowing and called someone to come and take a look at it to see if it could be fixed. When the man arrived, he took one look at my mower and informed me I would have to buy a replacement. The housing was cracked all the way around the motor, and it was deemed unsafe for any further use. I was originally happy with the product but in hindsight realize it was a terrible choice.
