My lawn mower is a Simplicity Riding Mower, not sure what model it is, but it is an older model, not sure of the year either. I bought the mower when I bought my house from the previous owner. It was not working when I bought it, but it was just due to a bad battery and needed a new fuel filter.
One thing I did learn from when I had it serviced is that the Simplicity mowers can have some issues with them if you leave the gas in them over the winter, so I just make sure that I run it till it is out before putting it up for the winter.
I do love the mower; it is easy to work on myself and I have not had any problems with it since. It has 4 speeds and reverse. It has a sensor on the seat that when you get off of it shuts of the mower.
It has several settings for the length of the cut. The only trouble I run into is if the setting is to low I hit some of the roots from the trees in my yard. I hit one and it bent the deck, but I just took it off and put a hammer to it and flattened it back out to its normal state.
I have only about .55 of an acre, but the riding mower is so much faster than a push mower. It only takes me about 30 minutes to do the entire lawn. I do the normal oil change, blade sharpening, and cleaning in the spring. I have owned this tractor for 3 years now.
I bought it for $300, which I still feel is a great price seeing how the new simplicity tractors are well over $1,000. The only other thing that doesn't work anymore is the headlights, but I never really understood the purpose of them anyways so it’s no big deal to me.
