Swisher Lawn Mowers

Heard about Swisher Lawn Mowers? It's hardly surprising really considering they've been around for so many years already.

In fact, Swisher lawn mowers have quite an unusual origin. Max Swisher, the founder of the company, hated having to mow his family's lawn, so he set about converting the family lawn mower while using the chicken shed as a workshop.

Even though the mower was now self-propelled, thanks to the gearbox which he installed, this still wasn't good enough for him.

Max then secured a length of rope to a tree situated in the center of the lawn. The other end of the rope was tied to the mower. Because the mower propelled itself, it ended up going in circles around the tree, with the rope inevitably getting short each time it did so. Max was now able to watch the lawn being cut while he himself relaxed in the shade.

Swisher Mower and Machine Company have now been in business for more than sixty years, but of course it's no longer only lawn mowers being produced by the company, but instead, they now manufacture an extensive range of garden and lawn maintenance products.

Swisher Lawn and Garden

Having a Swicher lawn mower is one thing, but there's more to gardening than just mowing your lawn, and of course Swisher Mower and Machine Company realizes this.

In fact, they have everything you need to make life that much easier. For example, with the lightweight Turbo Tiller, your garden soil can be cultivated and aerated simultaneously without you even having to break out into a sweat.

Need to mow the lawn? Swisher "zero-turn" riding mowers turn a chore into a fun activity, and as with all their products, these impressive machines are covered by formidable warranties.

Unlike most trimmers and edgers, many of the Swisher ones are not handheld models, but instead, these are ones you can simply push along as you would a lawn mower.

How many times have you battled to cut your way through dense brush? Well, not anymore, because Swisher Trailcutters have been designed specifically for that purpose.

Lawn and Garden Attachments

The tow-behind Lawn Vac and the tow-behind Lawn Rake make sure your lawn is left spotlessly clean and tidy after mowing. In fact, because they can be towed behind your riding mower, there's no need at all to go over the entire area again once you've finished mowing.

Other attachments include the likes of tow carts, dump cart, rollers, and de-thatchers, to name just a few.

Handheld Tools

Even though Swisher manufacture so many products which are operated by means of being towed or pushed, they also have a wide range of handheld tools as well.

For example, if you don't like the idea of a walk-behind trimmer, then you'll be thrilled with the handheld models which are also available. If you don't have a riding mower, you won't have any use for the tow-behind Lawn Vac, but you certainly could use the powerful handheld leaf blower.

The bottom line is, there are not many companies out their today which can compete with Swisher lawn mowers and their other types of garden maintenance products.
