The Honda HRX217K2VKA Cuts My Mowing Time In Half

I absolutely love my new Honda HRX. I am very skeptical when it comes to claims on the durability of lawn equipment, a solid frame and a powerful motor soon proved my skepticism was unjustified.

Easy to assemble from the box, and easier to operate I soon realized I finally made a wise choice in my Honda lawn mower.

I have huge oak trees in my front and back yard and the ease of the bagging system turned my 8 hour chore into 3 hours of joy.

If you have ever operated a self propelled mower before then you know the irritation of either running yourself to death or spinning you wheels small grades. This isn’t the case with my new Honda, the gearing is perfect and finally self propelled is a help not a hindrance.

I would recommend this mower to anyone with a small to medium size yard with any uneven grades. I would even recommend to owners of large/hilly yards, due to the ease of maneuverability. I am definitely a Honda man now!

Really Pleased With Honda HRX217K2VKA And Their 5 Year Warranty

I just recently bought a Honda HRX217K2VKA lawn mower down here in Montgomery, Alabama. Everyone down here is really into their yards and keeping their yards clean and looking good. We take pride in our yards and want our yards to look spotless.

Therefore, I purchased this Honda lawn mower after seeing the way my neighbors were out doing me in keeping their yard up to par with the rest of the neighborhood. I stopped him one day and asked him the type of mower he used because his yard looks superb!!! Believe ME!!! He stated that he did a lot of shopping around and finally went to a local SEARS to purchase this product.

Knowing my luck I unfortunately could not find this product in our local Sears when I visited the location that my neighbor did. I then decided to go to Honda directly online to purchase the HRX217K2VKA.

It was a dream to use. It is self-propelled and makes for a very easy and clean mow without any jerking. It is light enough to maneuver easily around trees and bushes but still a good enough weight to handle a full bag of grass. It also has an automatic choke system that makes real simple to start the 190cc engine.

The lawn mower is excellent for my front yard, back yard, and small garden in the back of my house. In addition, it has a great shred feature that allows for the shredding of leaves with no additional tools or anything. This definitely comes in handy if you have to rake a lot of leaves. I have a really thick yard. With my previous lawn mower I went really cheap.

That particular model couldn?t be raised high enough for me to cut and keep my yard at a desired height. The new Honda mower I bought rectified this problem with a 7 position cutting height adjustment feature which allows me to get the perfect height for my front and back yards.

The Honda lawn mower has been really great during the 7 months I have used it. It was very helpful that is until my son ruined the MicroCut twin blades on the bottom by somehow running the blade against my sidewalk. This completely destroyed the blades of the lawn mower.

Luckily, the Honda HRX217K2VKA mower was still under the 5 year warranty that came with my purchase. I have the replacement mower now for 2 months. I must say that Honda put me through the most unstressful replacement process that I have ever been through.

I have nothing negative to say about this product at all. The only thing that I can think of may come later down the road as the product ages. As the mower reaches the end of the warranty I think that the performance will drop just as all mowers do. But for now, my mower is keeping me on par with the rest of my neighbors. My yard is looking better than ever and will stay that way. Thanks HONDA!!!

High Quality - Great Investment!

I own the Honda 21" HRX217VKA Self-Propelled Walk-Behind Lawn mower and I am glad I decided on purchasing it. It was a great investment, although it was slightly more than I wanted to spend. I purchased it at my local Home Depot in 2010 and also purchased the extended warranty.

The Self-Propelling feature is a real life saver. Although it doesn't do all the work, it does make a huge difference in cutting my huge lawn. It really helps going up small hills in my back yard, that would have otherwise been a back-breaker.

The blades seem to stay repetitively sharp and the wheels do not get jammed up with grass cuttings like my previous mower. It seems to work pretty good, but I am not sure how long the foam grips are going to last.

I can already see that they are starting to fall apart. I mow the lawn every week, so those may need to be replaced in the future, but its worth it for the dual-blade cutting and the self-propelling features. It makes it great for large lawns.

The only downside I can think of is that its a little difficult to turn. Also, the motor gets hot, really hot on hot days, so make sure never to touch it until it has cooled off. I usually hose the mower down after cutting to clean it, this usually cools the motor down.

Overall, I think its a great purchase and would recommend it.

Honda HRX Air Filter Lets Dirt In Easily

I live at Lake Texoma. It's dry for a good bit of the year and the dust travels around in the air. The air filter gets a little bit dirty so I have to clean it often. I had a Briggs and Stratton engine before and the dirt never went around the filter no matter how dirty the air got. I find it bad that the Japanese can't build a better air filter container. Ah well, next time I will buy a Toro with a Briggs motor. I should have checked it out better before I bought the Honda mower. Shame on me...
