Toro Recycler Self Propelled Mower

by Gordon McGee

I recently bought a Toro Recycler (22") 190cc Lawn Mower. I really like the mower and the number one reason that I really appreciate this mower is its reliability. I like to mow my grass at least twice a week as it grows very fast, and I have been using this mower to do this for about six months now.

It requires almost no maintenance on my part, and I have never had any problems with it. Another reason that I really appreciate this mower is the fact that it easily matches the speed that I walk behind it, making it non stressful to run around behind. I also don’t have to man handle it around corners.

The start up is also amazing compared to other mowers I’ve owned, super easy. The only thing I don’t like is the hand grip is not very comfortable. I bought my mine from home depot, and I would say it’s best for a medium sixed yard.

I Got A Toro 650 Series This Year
by: Tammy Bentley

I recently had to purchase a new lawn mover. After looking at several mowers at several different retailers, I chose to purchase the Toro Quantum 650 series at my local Home Depot in Jacksonville, Florida. This mower is a 22" recycler with grass bag and a dedicated side discharge chute. This mower is self-propelled with both front wheels. Other lawn mowers are usually self-propelled with only one front wheel.

Got A Good Deal On This Mower
by: Mildred A. Carmichael

I have a Toro Recycler 190cc walk behind, push lawn mower. I purchased it September, 2009, from Home Depot in St. Cloud, MN, for $179, during the year-end sale. Overall, I like my lawn mower. There are a couple of issues with the mower though.

The first thing I do not like about it is the bag it came with. If I had a smaller yard it would be beneficial, but I would have to empty the bag about 3 times if I used it. I also do not like how the mower dies quite a bit when the grass is a little too long. The grass will be between 2-3 inches and if there are patches with thick grass, the mower will die or bog down. It makes the process take longer.

I have noticed it does not act up as much if I do not use the mulching option on the mower. Also, the speed wire broke within the first year of purchasing the lawn mower. I have had my family fix it for me, but it does not work the same. I have to put more effort into pushing the lawn mower instead of just using the speed and walking behind the lawn mower.

The things I like about my mower are it is small enough for me to handle. Before the speed function broke, I found that very convenient because I have lots of hills in my yard and it helped eliminate pushing the mower up the hills. I am a single-mom and I need something I can handle. It also has the hook up for the hose to wash the deck. I like that because it keeps the mower clean and out of my garage. I use my lawn mower to cut my grass in my yard. I do not use it for any gardens because it is only a push behind mower with no attachments.
