Troy Bilt 42 Inch Riding Mower

I currently own a TROY-BILT 17.5 HP 42" riding mower. My dad bought it for me from Lowe's so I could start my own lawn company over the summer. Works great, does the job efficiently and how I would, clean and short. Been using it for about 2 years now, do the usual maintenance at the end of the season (sharpening blades, changing spark plugs, and etc).

Along with that, I bought a bagger that I attached to it and an overhead sun-visor that attaches in front of the bagger. Its honestly the best product for lawns I own. The type of land I usually cut grass on are flat land with mild hills, with some occasional steep hills. It works wonders on the flat and mild hilly areas, but a little bit challenging on the steeper hills, however it still cuts and does the job.

Only thing I wish was that it had a little more horsepower. Overall, going into my third year and ready to be used, I know it will give me another successful steady and green ($$) year!

My Model Is 13WN77KS011
by: Douglas Alexander

I bought a Troy Bilt 17.5hp 42 inch riding mower from Lowe's. The model is 13WN77KS011. I bought this mower during the summer of 2010. Overall, I am happy with the performance of the mower. I have to cut about one acre of grass at my home about every 10 days.

This mower performs well and the short turning radius is nice. The mower seems to handle even the thickest of grass without bogging down. The mower is at its best in my large unobstructed front yard. If I had to mow a yard any bigger or had more obstructions, (trees, etc...) I think I would go with a zero turn mower.

The 17.5hp motor seems to have plenty of power to move this mower along. However in thick grass, I have to slow down to prevent the mower from choking off. I would recommend this mower to anyone needing to do lawn care with a similar sized yard.

The biggest draw back I have seen with this and other mowers that I have owned, is changing belts is fairly hard. It is also always really hard to locate belts and blades locally. If you want the right one the first time. You would think that the store that sells the mower would have the most common parts readily available...and if they do, the employees don't seem to know what you need.
