This is a review of a Yard Machine 20 Inch push mower. I bought my Yard Machine about twenty six months ago. It was the cheapest machine I could find at Lowe's Home Store. I paid abut $129.00 bucks for the lawn mower.
It was perfect the first season but about twelve months later which equated to the next summer season of mowing, it started up fine but would not continue running. I would start it and it would stop, start, and stop again and again.
I waited to begin mowing, of course, until my yard was really really ready. When I took it to the repair shop they said they were backed up and it would take the couple of months to repair the machine.
Well, that was terrible. I borrowed my neighbor's machine and thanks to their kindness I was at least not going to get a citation from our wonderful city.
After it was repaired it was fine. Next season the same darn thing happened. So I don't know what to say about the irritating thing. It had a 20 inch cut; I think it was a four horsepower. It was a great looking mower.
The first repair I could not find the receipt so I had to rely on the serial number and my ability to talk everybody involved into working with me.
I do congratulate Yard Machine customer services for helping me out. Of course they only did so after I threatened to have the thing delivered to their head office, nonetheless they did concede and paid for having it repaired. The next season I was out of luck and had to pay for it myself.
All in all it is a great machine, it just needs tuned up at the beginning of each season. The Yard Machine 20 Inch mower seams to work best on moderate sized yards because of the size of the model that I choose. It is great for cutting on a hill, again because of the size and weight. It would not be good for any wooded or stoney yards because of the cheaply made machine.
